Fluid Control Valve

View page
US Patent:
8141843, Mar 27, 2012
Filed:
Dec 31, 2008
Appl. No.:
12/347051
Inventors:
Vladimir Rimboym - Highland Park IL, US
Vladimir Etinger - Wheeling IL, US
Assignee:
Dresser, Inc. - Addison TX
International Classification:
F16K 47/00
US Classification:
251127, 25131501
Abstract:
A valve includes a body, a throttling ball, and a shoe. The body includes an upstream flow passage and a downstream flow passage in fluid communication with an interior cavity of the body. The throttling ball is rotatable within the interior cavity on an axis to adjust the valve from a closed position to an open position and includes a fluid conduit extending through the throttling ball, where the fluid conduit is alignable with the upstream flow passage and the downstream flow passage. The shoe is disposed in the cavity abutting an interior surface of the cavity and includes a fluid passage there through having an inlet being alignable with the flow conduit of the throttling ball and an outlet being alignable with the downstream flow passage of the body. The interior surface of the shoe is disposed adjacent to and tracking an external surface of the throttling ball.

Pneumatically Controlled No-Bleed Valve And Variable Pressure Regulator

View page
US Patent:
57621020, Jun 9, 1998
Filed:
Feb 12, 1997
Appl. No.:
8/798123
Inventors:
Vladimir Rimboym - Chicago IL
Assignee:
Becker Precision Equipment, Inc. - Elk Grove Village IL
International Classification:
F16K 31124
US Classification:
1374925
Abstract:
A pneumatically controlled assembly for the no-bleed regulation of the pressure of a gas as it flows in a pressurized line and including two balance valves that are set to respond to variations in pressure in conjunction with a controller valve so as to effectively regulate and maintain the pressure of the gas in the pressurized line. The balance valves are adjusted to maintain a gas tight seal, to open only in the situation when the gas pressure in the line is over the set amount desired, and to automatically close when the pressure in the line has returned to the desired level. The balance valves act in the situation where the pressure in the line changes, either over or under the set pressure. This is accomplished through a sensor mechanism such as a diaphragm. The diaphragm is set to respond to the desired pressure changes and communicates the pressure changes in the line by means, for example, of deflecting a spring.

Gas Line Control System With Anodized Surfaces

US Patent:
20210116045, Apr 22, 2021
Filed:
Dec 28, 2020
Appl. No.:
17/134902
Inventors:
- Lake Zurich IL, US
Vladimir Rimboym - Highland Park IL, US
International Classification:
F16K 17/10
G05D 16/16
Abstract:
A process control valve manufactured using an aluminum alloy and used to maintain a supply side pressure and a delivery side pressure in a fluid supply line. The control valve includes a pneumatic actuator having a first pressure chamber and a second pressure chamber used to operate the process control valve, a delivery side sensor for determining a delivery side pressure, and a hardcoat anodized layer on aluminum alloy surfaces to create a barrier and reduce electrolysis and aluminum corrosion, The hardcoat anodized layer penetrates the aluminum alloy surfaces. Preferably, the hardcoat anodized layer has a thickness in the range of 0.0007 inch to 0.0012 inch, Most preferably, the hardcoat anodized layer has a thickness of about 0.001 inch. The hardcoat anodized layer penetrates the aluminum alloy surfaces to a depth in the range of 0.0007 inch to 0.0012 inch, most preferably to a depth of 0.001 inch.
