Sivaprasad Akasam - Peoria IL, US
Assignee:
Caterpillar Inc - Peoria IL
International Classification:
H03L005/00
US Classification:
327307, 327545
Abstract:
A method of ground level compensation includes measuring a voltage of at least one signal with respect to a primary ground potential and measuring, with respect to the primary ground potential, a voltage level associated with a secondary ground potential. A difference between the voltage level associated with the secondary ground potential and an expected value is calculated. The measured voltage of the at least one signal is adjusted by an amount corresponding to the calculated difference.

Kris W. Johnson - Washington IL, US
Sivaprasad Akasam - Peoria IL, US
Thomas M. Baker - Peoria IL, US
Assignee:
Caterpillar Inc. - Peoria IL
International Classification:
G06F 11/30
G01M 17/00
G05B 13/02
US Classification:
702183, 701 29, 700 32
Abstract:
A method is provided for testing multiple elements of a work machine, including a control system, a component, a sub-component that is influenced by operations of the component, and a sensor that monitors a characteristic of the sub-component. In one embodiment, the method is performed by the control system and includes sending a command to the component to adjust a first parameter associated with an operation of the component. Also, the method includes detecting a sensor signal from the sensor reflecting a second parameter associated with a characteristic of the sub-component and determining whether the second parameter is acceptable based on the command. The control system may diagnose at least one of the elements of the work machine when the second parameter of the sub-component is not acceptable.

US Patent:
7137839, Nov 21, 2006
Filed:
Dec 22, 2003
Appl. No.:
10/740454
Inventors:
Jennifer L. Dilliner - Peoria IL, US
Thomas M. Baker - Peoria IL, US
Sivaprasad Akasam - Peoria IL, US
Brian D. Hoff - East Peoria IL, US
Assignee:
Caterpillar Inc. - Peoria IL
International Classification:
H01R 13/62
US Classification:
439315, 439320, 439489
Abstract:
An electrical connector includes a female component having one or more receptacles, a first test receptacle, and a second test receptacle. The electrical connector also includes a male component having one or more terminals configured to engage the one or more receptacles, a first test pin configured to engage the first test receptacle, and a second test pin configured to engage the second test receptacle. The first test receptacle is electrically connected to the second test receptacle, and at least one of the first test pin and the second test pin is shorter in length than the one or more terminals.

Method And System For Providing Work Machine Multi-Functional User Interface

View page
US Patent:
7242311, Jul 10, 2007
Filed:
Oct 29, 2004
Appl. No.:
10/975989
Inventors:
Brian D. Hoff - Peoria IL, US
Sivaprasad Akasam - Peoria IL, US
Thomas M. Baker - Peoria IL, US
Assignee:
Caterpillar Inc. - Peoria IL
International Classification:
G08B 21/00
US Classification:
