Apr 16, 2001
Appl. No.:
09/835134
Inventors:
Irit Romano - Givatiam, IL
Reuben Bahar - West Hills CA, 91307
International Classification:
G08B 100
US Classification:

View page
US Patent:
6655321, Dec 2, 2003
Filed:
Oct 15, 2002
Appl. No.:
10/272183
Inventors:
Moshe J. Ozeri - Woodland Hills CA, 91367
Reuben Bahar - West Hills CA, 91307
International Classification:
A01K 103
US Classification:
119452, 119417
Abstract:
An adapter for converting a foldable pet shelter into a self encased pet crate. The crate adapter has an end panel and a bottom panel, both of which may be joined together. The end panel is removably attachable to the foldable pet shelter along the back edge perimeter of the left side, right side, and top panels of the foldable pet shelter, while the bottom panel is removably attachable to the foldable pet shelter along the bottom edge perimeter of the left side, right side, and front side panels of the foldable pet shelter. Component lock elements positioned along various locations on the end and bottom panels of the adapter provide elements for removably securing the adapter to the foldable pet shelter, thereby converting the joined components into a self encased pet crate having a top panel, a right side panel, a left side panel, a front panel, a back panel, and a bottom panel.

Method And System For Collectively Generating User-Created Designs Of Products And Property Via A Communications Network

View page
US Patent:
6694355, Feb 17, 2004
Filed:
Mar 14, 2000
Appl. No.:
09/524940

In this manner, the remote host computer system may collect a multitude of design submissions from a great number of users.

Apparatus For Mounting A Pet Shelter To A Pet Door Panel In A Sliding Glass Door Assembly

View page
US Patent:
6912974, Jul 5, 2005
Filed:
Apr 2, 2003
Appl. No.:
10/405324
Inventors:
Moshe Ozeri - Woodland Hills CA, US
Reuben Bahar - West Hills CA, US
International Classification:
A01K001/035
US Classification:
119484, 119501, 119485
Abstract:
An apparatus for mounting a pet shelter to a pet door panel in a sliding glass door assembly. The apparatus has both left and right side posts which sandwich a pet door panel. A retaining frame is attached to either or both posts and is capable of retaining the pet shelter. The retaining frame has cross members that allow the pet shelter to be attached in a folded down configuration and further has a shelter support element for holding the pet shelter in a folded up configuration. A hinge may be attached between the retaining frame and either post for allowing the pet shelter to be tilted out of the way when not in use.

Enhanced Parking Meter Utilizing User Identification Technology

View page
US Patent:
7019670, Mar 28, 2006
Filed:
Dec 27, 2002
Appl. No.:
10/330574
Inventors:
Reuben Bahar - West Hills CA, US
International Classification:
B60Q 1/48
US Classification:
3409322, 340933
Abstract:
An enhanced parking meter system utilizing user identification technology to achieve improved efficiencies in the enforcement and regulation of parking meters. A user and/or vehicle is identified by communication of user data into the parking meter system. If the meter becomes expired with the vehicle remaining in the parking space, a citation will be electronically processed, in accordance with the user data, and thereafter delivered to the user or vehicle owner. Recognition of the user and/or vehicle further enables the system to limit the individual's and/or vehicle's parking time in front of a particular meter or designated cluster of meter. This would help regulate traffic within a municipality district as well as prevent people from parking in a metered location for excessive periods of time.

Method And System For Prevention Of Piracy Of A Given Software Application Via A Communications Network

View page
US Patent:
7024696, Apr 4, 2006
Filed:
Jun 14, 2000
Appl. No.:
09/594004
Inventors:
Reuben Bahar - West Hills CA, US
International Classification:
G06F 17/30
US Classification:
726 26, 726 27, 726 3
Abstract:
A method and system for prevention of piracy of a given software application via a communications network, such as the Internet. A given software application, installed on a user system, will not function until it is activated by a remote service provider. This will require the user to provide the remote service provider with user data, such as the user's personal identity information and the unique software identification code relating to the specific software. User data will then be compared to archived data in order to determine if the user is a pirator of the software. If not a pirator, the remote service provider may transmit undisclosed service data, such as a software activation code, to the user system. Once activated, the software will become fully operational and allow the user complete access to its functions. In this manner, piracy of a given software application can be prevented.

Method And Apparatus For Verifying Players' Bets On A Gaming Table

View page
US Patent:
7559839, Jul 14, 2009
Filed:
Mar 9, 2006
Appl. No.:
11/373634
Inventors:
Reuben Bahar - West Hills CA, US
International Classification:
A63F 9/24
US Classification:
463 25, 273274
Abstract:
A method and apparatus for verifying players' bets on a gaming table is comprised of a system that can detect the monetary value of a wager that is placed by a particular player at a gaming table. Once all betting is finalized, the detected monetary value of the players' bets is locked and/or recorded thereby preventing that value from being changed by the addition or removal of betting chip(s) from a player's respective bet. If after the results of the gaming round, there is a discrepancy or mismatch between a player's wager and the locked monetary value of a player's bet, casino personnel will be alerted of the player's possible cheating practices thereby enabling them to investigate the matter.

Software Piracy Prevention Through Remote Enforcement Of An Activation Threshold

View page
US Patent:
8613110, Dec 17, 2013
Filed:
Apr 19, 2012
Appl. No.:
13/451477
Inventors:
Reuben Bahar - West Hills CA, US
Assignee:
Uniloc Luxembourg S.A. - Luxembourg
International Classification:
G06F 21/00
US Classification:
726 32
Abstract:
A system and method for preventing piracy of a given software application limits the number of times that such software application is activated. A given software application must be activated in order to become fully functional. The user must provide a unique software identification code, relating to the specific software which the user is attempting to activate, to a remote provider. The remote provider determines the number of times that such specific software has already been activated, and provides an activation code to the user unless the number of activations exceeds a predetermined threshold. Once activated, the software becomes fully operational, and the user is allowed complete access to its functions.
