Apparatus And Method For Sinus Lift Procedure

View page
US Patent:
20140038126, Feb 6, 2014
Filed:
Jul 16, 2013
Appl. No.:
13/942920
Inventors:
Pavel Krastev - New Hyde Park NY, US
International Classification:
A61C 19/04
A61C 8/00
US Classification:
433 75, 433144, 433 87
Abstract:
An osteotome for sinus lift procedures includes a body interchangeable with various handles. The body includes a shaft that is releasably received into the handle, and a tip portion. The tip portion may be directly utilized for ridge expansion/bone compression, or a succession of tip members may instead be received thereon to provide suitable diameter escalation to create the socket. A conduit in the tip portion interconnects with a conduit in a hydration port and a conduit in a tip member. A hose couples the hydration port to a syringe, to deliver fluid out the tip member to lift the membrane. Graduated syringe markings permit delivery of measured fluid quantities to control the amount of lift. A second hydration port is coupled to a graduated cylinder through a valve, which is opened after lifting is complete, to measure the fluid released. A loss of fluid measured indicates a sinus tear.

Osteotome Set For Dental Implant Socket Formation With Alternating Base And Crestal Work Areas

View page
US Patent:
20180289452, Oct 11, 2018
Filed:
Mar 27, 2018
Appl. No.:
15/936693
Inventors:
Pavel Krastev - New Hyde Park NY, US
International Classification:
A61C 8/00
A61B 17/16
A61C 1/16
Abstract:
A number of osteotomes, n, form a set of osteotomes, for use during a ridge expansion osteotomy to reduce alveolar stress and to reduce likelihood of a fracture, with each osteotome of the set having a conical working tip with a free end having a diameter ϕ, and a working base ϕ; a first osteotome, n=1, of the set has the working tip formed with a first diameter, ϕ=Y, at the free end, and with a second diameter, ϕ−X, at the working base, the second diameter being larger than the first diameter, X>Y; and wherein for successive osteotomes of the set, the diameter at the free end increases as an alternate step and regressive step sequence, and the diameter at the working base alternately increases by a constant increment c, as a step function.

Variable Geometry Osteotome Set With Multiple Modes Of Use For Implant Socket Formation

View page
US Patent:
20180289453, Oct 11, 2018
Filed:
Mar 27, 2018
Appl. No.:
15/936879
Inventors:
Pavel Krastev - New Hyde Park NY, US
International Classification:
A61C 8/00
A61B 17/16
A61B 90/94
A61C 1/10
A61C 1/12
Abstract:
A set of osteotomes have conical tips with free end diameters alternately increasing by a constant increment, k, as a step function, beginning with the first osteotome; and working base diameters alternately increases by a constant increment, C, as a step function, beginning with the second osteotome. For seven osteotomes, the first and second diameters respectively are: 1 mm and 2 mm; 1 mm and 3 mm; 2 mm and 3 mm; 2 mm and 4 mm; 3 mm and 4 mm; 3 mm and 5 mm; and 4 mm and 5 mm. In a first mode all seven osteotomes are used to provide very gradual diameter escalations. In a second mode the first, third, fifth, and seventh osteotomes provide conventional Summers' diameter escalations. In third and fourth modes the first, fourth, and seventh osteotomes, and the second, fifth, and seventh osteotomes respectively provide increasingly more aggressive Summers' type escalations.

US Patent:
20170120021, May 4, 2017
Filed:
Oct 19, 2016
Appl. No.:
15/297402
Inventors:
Pavel Krastev - New Hyde Park NY, US
International Classification:
A61M 29/02
A61B 17/16
Abstract:
A device, for atraumatically elevating the Schneiderian membrane during a sinus lift procedure with positive, real-time indication of the amount of lift occurring, may include: a first conduit; a first balloon coupled to a first end of the first conduit and in fluid communication therewith; a second conduit; a second balloon coupled to a first end of the second conduit and in fluid communication therewith; and means for infusing a fluid into the first and second conduits to cause inflation of the balloons. The balloons may be constructed the same, or may be individually tailored. The first balloon is configured to be received within the implant socket and. apply pressure to the membrane. The second balloon, expanding against atmospheric pressure only, is configured of a different material and wall thickness. An integral scale behind the second balloon provides indication of the inflation and lift provided by the first balloon.

Dental Implant Surgery Organizer Case

View page
US Patent:
20170056148, Mar 2, 2017
Filed:
Sep 13, 2016
Appl. No.:
15/263705
Inventors:
Pavel Krastev - New Hyde Park NY, US
International Classification:
A61C 19/10
A61B 50/33
A61B 90/94
A61C 19/02
A61C 8/00
Abstract:
A dental implant organizer case includes a housing with a plurality of compartments selectively arranged therein. Each compartment includes: a respective lid pivotally mounted to the housing to cover the compartment's cavity when closed; means for biasing the lid from the closed to the open position; means to releasably secure the lid in the closed position; means to releasably support dental implant containers within the compartment in an upright position; and a respective tooth number marking to indicate the tooth intended for the implant containers therein. The selectively arranged compartments may form a semi-circular or an in-line arrangement. Two compartment levels may be utilized, with the lower compartments being accessible using a tray being slidable with respect to the housing. Two cases may be secured together to be pivotable between collapsed and extended positions, where the first and second cases store dental implant containers for left-hand and right-hand teeth, respectively.
