US Patent:
47376198, Apr 12, 1988
Filed:
Jul 23, 1986
Appl. No.:
6/888515
Inventors:
John Freedom - Tinley Park IL
Thomas Freedom - Palos Park IL
International Classification:
G06C 300
US Classification:
235 88RC
Abstract:
There is disclosed a calculator adapted to determine optimum fertility time periods for a female, formed by a first scale divided into 365 equal units, each unit assigned a day for each month of a full calendar year, a second scale positioned in operative relation to the first scale, the second scale including a first information segment formed by a series of 15 equal units, each unit representing a day in a menstrual cycle and ranging between 20 such days in a cycle and 35 days in a cycle, and a second information segment positioned a predetermined distance forward of the first information segment, the second information segment comprising the optimum fertility indicator segment and constructed by measuring a time period two days prior to and two days subsequent to the day of ovulation, the optimum fertility indicator segment constructed in the form of a box having a total of eight equal units from end to end, the center unit representing the point of ovulation, and the two markings measured therefrom each being spaced two equal units forward and rearward therefrom, the units being measured identically to the units formed on the first scale, whereby the optimum fertility period may be determined by the user thereof by placing the known number of days in a female's menstrual cycle from the second scale in registry with the date when the last menstrual cycle commenced as measured on the first scale, thereby to bring into registry the second information segment on the second scale with a certain time period as read from the first scale thereby to determine the time period of maximum fertility, and also showing the time period of non-fertility.

6/314098
Inventors:
John Freedom - Tinley Park IL
International Classification:
G09F 300
US Classification:
40330
Abstract:
An identifying tag affixed to a key wherein the identifying tag has a surface area which receives the identifying indicia. The identifying tag has opposite ends with locking or latching members so that the opposite ends can be fastened together. The identifying tag is dimensioned so that it can pass through at least two receiving holes in the key and then have the latching members engaged so that the identifying tag is securely retained to the key. The identifying tag is generally made from a flexible material so that the tag can be easily manipulated by the user to pass through the receiving holes and then latched.

US Patent:
42414776, Dec 30, 1980
Filed:
Aug 16, 1979
Appl. No.:
6/067200
Inventors:
John Freedom - Tinley Park IL
Thomas Freedom - Tinley Park IL
International Classification:
B42F 300
US Classification:
24 67R
Abstract:
There is disclosed an improved paper clip for retaining two or more pieces of paper together formed by a continuous U-shaped body having an upper wall and a lower wall being spaced apart a distance and joined at one end by a junction portion, the upper wall having a cut-out portion formed therein and having one surface thereof including an inclined surface formed therein, spring means mounted on the upper wall and recessed within the cut-out portion the spring means further including an inclined section formed integrally therewith and positioned in cooperating relation with the inclined surface of the cut-out portion such that the inclined section frictionally engages against the inclined surface, the spring means including paper piercing means formed thereon and extending downwardly therefrom in the direction of the lower wall, the spring means constructed to have an open position when retracted and a closed position when depressed, the lower wall having a receiving slot formed therein and positioned in linear alignment with the paper piercing means such that when the spring means is depressed, the paper piercing means will pierce the two or more pieces of paper inserted within the space between the upper and lower wall until the paper piercing means is received in the receiving slot.

US Patent:
46250999, Nov 25, 1986
Filed:
May 20, 1985
Appl. No.:
6/736108
Inventors:
John Freedom - Tinley Park IL
International Classification:
G06C 300
US Classification:
235 88RC
Abstract:
There is disclosed a calculator adapted to determine optimum monthly fertility time periods of a female formed by a first scale divided into 365 equal units, each unit assigned a day and each month of a full calendar year, a second scale positioned in operative relation to the first scale, the second scale including a plurality of information segments, each of the information segments being sized to correspond with a different menstrual cycle length calculated by the time period between the first day of successive menstrual cycles and ranging between 23 cycle days and 35 cycle days, each of the information segments being spaced from the next adjacent information segment by a spacer segment, each of the spacer segments being of equal size, and each information segment further provided with an optimum fertility indicator segment sized in accordance with a time period equal to two days prior and two days following ovulation, whereby the manipulation of the second scale by placing the indicator indicating the first day of a menstrual cycle of a given cycle length in registry with a particular day and month as noted on the first scale, the optimum fertility indicator formed on the second scale will be automatically positioned with respect to certain days of certain months on the first scale thereby to alert the user as to the optimum fertility time period for conception.
