Abstract:
A package for displaying a plurality of safety razors is provided which includes opposed front and rear panels articulated to one another to define an enclosure. Each of the opposed front and rear panels has an elongated slot provided therein defining a blade head maintaining area for the razors. An upper panel extends from the front panel to the rear panel above the blade head maintaining area. Structure projects into at least one of the opposed slots for inhibiting movement of the plurality of razors within the blade head maintaining area. In addition, a passageway descends from at least one of the slots in the opposed panels for permitting individual removal of the plurality of razors from the package while inhibiting the egress of the remaining razors therethrough.

Abstract:
A safety razor blade tool includes a substantially rectangular safety razor blade having a cutting edge and an opposing non-cutting edge, and a rubberized thermoplastic protective cover fixedly attached to the non-cutting edge. Such an improved safety razor blade tool may be produced by providing a blade having a cutting edge and a non-cutting edge, feeding a substantially rigid thermoplastic in a viscous state to a coextrusion die, simultaneously feeding a thermoplastic rubber compatible with the substantially rigid thermoplastic in a viscous state to the same coextrusion die, coextruding the substantially rigid thermoplastic and the compatible thermoplastic rubber to form a one-piece coextruded protective cover having an inner layer of the substantially rigid thermoplastic and an outer layer of the compatible thermoplastic rubber, and fixedly attaching the coextruded one-piece protective cover to the non-cutting edge of the blade.
