US Classification:
40452, 16360, 16370, 16288, 16389, 362241, 362247, 362260, 296223, 29614611, 2961464
Abstract:
A system for accessing internal electrical components of an LED display panel assembly includes a case and a display panel having a plurality of LEDs on an outer surface and electrical components on an inner surface. A linkage assembly is coupled to an inner surface of the case and the inner surface of the display panel and configured for generally translational and generally rotational movement of the display panel from a closed position to an open position for accessing the electrical components.

Compliant End Effector

View page
US Patent:
6368012, Apr 9, 2002
Filed:
Dec 22, 1999
Appl. No.:
09/469512
Inventors:
Douglas L. St. Onge - Cudahy WI
Jesse E. Schrimpf - Waukesha WI
Assignee:
ABB Flexible Automation, Inc. - New Berlin WI
International Classification:
F16B 2100
US Classification:
403368, 403370
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a compliant end effector for securing an implement or tool such as a spindle to an arm of an industrial robot. The end effector has an internal passageway that extends completely through the end effector for receiving the spindle. The end effector includes a mounting assembly, a gripping assembly, a compliant assembly and a biasing assembly. The mounting assembly has a mounting bracket that rigidly secures the end effector to the robotic arm. The gripping assembly has a support bracket that rigidly secures the spindle to the end effector. The compliant assembly joins the mounting assembly to the gripping assembly, and includes an internal collar with two sets of opposed pivot pins that form first and second pivot axes. The biasing assembly includes a sponge rubber biasing ring with a number of uniformly spaced springs that combine to bias the spindle into a normal biased position. The spindle has a reference axis that forms a reference line for the end effector when in this biased position.

System And Method For Thermoforming An Object

View page
US Patent:
20190329481, Oct 31, 2019
Filed:
Apr 25, 2018
Appl. No.:
15/962103
Inventors:
- Schenectady NY, US
JESSE EDWARD SCHRIMPF - WAUKESHA WI, US
Assignee:
GENERAL ELECTRIC COMPANY - SCHENECTADY NY
International Classification:
B29C 51/36
B29C 51/18
B29C 51/10
Abstract:
A system for thermoforming an object is provided. The system includes a mold and a pressure-box. The mold has a surface that defines a shape of the object and includes two or more portions of differing porosities. The pressure-box is operative to generate a pressure differential across the surface. The two or more portions apply the pressure differential at different loads, based at least in part on the differing porosities, to a material disposed onto the surface so as to form the object by deforming the material into the shape.
