View page
US Patent:
20210022228, Jan 21, 2021
Filed:
Mar 5, 2019
Appl. No.:
16/977981
Inventors:
James Andrew Nimmer - Minooka IL, US
International Classification:
H05B 47/19
H04B 1/38
H04W 76/10
H04L 12/18
H05B 47/115
Abstract:
Systems and methods are provided relating to a smart lightbulb that can comprise means to sense motion and means to wirelessly transmit and receive information. The smart lightbulb can include a radio frequency transceiver and a motion sensor having an antenna. The transceiver and motion sensor can be electrically coupled to a programmable processor. The transceiver can be oriented in a first plane and the antenna of the motion sensor can be oriented in a second plane different than the first plane. In some embodiments, an oscillator circuit can be provided in place of the motion sensor antenna. The oscillator circuit can be electrically coupled to the transceiver, the motion sensor, and communication circuitry. The programmable processor can be configured to direct the oscillator circuit to switch between electrically coupling the motion sensor to the radio frequency transceiver and electrically coupling the communication circuitry to the radio frequency transceiver.

System And Method For Digital Motor Identification And Control

View page
US Patent:
20190033813, Jan 31, 2019
Filed:
Jul 24, 2018
Appl. No.:
16/044158
Inventors:
- Romeoville IL, US
James Andrew Nimmer - Minooka IL, US
International Classification:
G05B 19/042
Abstract:
Systems and methods for setting up and operating a motor control system are provided. Such systems and methods can include a parent device that includes a digital library of control commands and a child device. A child device can transmit a unique identification code to the parent device and the parent device can identify, from the digital library, a group of control commands specific to the child device using the unique identification code, generate an address for the child device, and transmit a copy of the address to the child device for storage thereon. The parent device can transmit a control signal that includes the address and one of the control commands from the first group to the child device and, responsive thereto, the child device can perform an action when the address matches the copy of the address stored on the child device.

US Patent:
20180175778, Jun 21, 2018
Filed:
Feb 19, 2018
Appl. No.:
15/899124
Inventors:
- Romeoville IL, US
James Andrew Nimmer - Minooka IL, US
John Brian Dempster - Floyds Knobs IN, US
International Classification:
H02P 27/10
H03K 17/687
H02M 7/539
Abstract:
A high-efficiency control system and method is presented. The system can feature a gate drive circuit, a floating charge pump and pump circuitry, and a bootstrap capacitor circuit having a floating ground. The floating charge pump features a ground electrically coupled to a load. The bootstrap circuit can feature a floating ground, with a floating voltage being carried across the bootstrap circuit and delivered to the gate drive circuit to produce an indefinite on-time for switching a high-side of a power supply to the load.

US Patent:
20160327410, Nov 10, 2016
Filed:
May 5, 2015
Appl. No.:
14/704039
Inventors:
- Romeoville IL, US
John Brian Dempster - Floyds Knobs IN, US
James A. Nimmer - Minooka IL, US
International Classification:
G01D 5/14
H02P 6/16
Abstract:
Systems and methods of synchronously switching electrical phases of a permanent magnet synchronous motor are provided.
