US Classification:
401/272000, 401/268000
Abstract:
A dispensing valve unit, adapted to be quickly filled with tap water, permitting the user to selectively rotate for dispensing selections, then pump to deliver soap and water or water only to an outlet. Composing a pair of partially interfitted tubular assemblies, forming there between an upper pump piston assembly and a lower soap valve cylinder assembly. The pump handle assembly is adapted to hold water and includes a piston and seal means and substantially right angle fill port. The cylinder assembly is operatively mounted to a mop base with cam means. The cylinder includes a locking collate and inner valve seat. Located within the cylinder is a pair of shiftable valve bodies. Upper body is a soap valve dispensing capsule, including a valve follower stem that protrudes of a ball end there of. The valve capsule is positioned to interactively engage cylinder valve seat cooperatively defining two different fluid passage way. The lower valve body includes a protruding tube cam means. First passage way: both valves are shifted up stream, lower valve pushes the ball stem end of upper valve away from cylinder seat, while holding soap valve closed. Pump water flows around past upper valve through lower valve and out tube for rinse water. Second passage way: both valves are shifted down stream, upper valve is against cylinder seat, lower valve is spaced back from upper valve. Pump water flows through upper valve, mixing with soap through lower valve out tube for soapy water.

Force Delivering Hand Tool

View page
US Patent:
43291210, May 11, 1982
Filed:
Mar 7, 1980
Appl. No.:
6/128239
Inventors:
Jack T. Gregory - San Anselmo CA
International Classification:
F04B 118
US Classification:
417270
Abstract:
A hand operated tool comprising a cylinder with a drive piston therein operative to drive the cylinder to deliver a substantial lineal force. The piston has a large, tubular piston rod which functions also as a reservoir for the hydraulic fluid. A plurality of oil passages bored through the drive piston have small pump pistons reciprocable therein to receive on each return stroke a quantity of fluid from the self-contained reservoir to be delivered on the pump stroke to the other side of the drive piston. A wobble plate is mounted on the drive piston to drive the small pump pistons by tilting against them. A motor carried on the trailing end of the tubular piston rod rotates a shaft to drive a wheel carrying tapered pressure rollers around the wobble disc, tilting it against the pump pistons in circumferential sequence.

Portable Stain And Spot Removal System

View page
US Patent:
57071632, Jan 13, 1998
Filed:
Nov 28, 1994
Appl. No.:
8/345499
Inventors:
Jack Gregory - Mill Valley CA
International Classification:
A46B 1102
US Classification:
401 10
Abstract:
A stain removal device and process sets forth a device and method which facilitates the removal of stains by employing a number of mutually beneficial structures and processes. A limited area of material is exposed to both the soap or other removal solution by encasing the limited area of material onto a washboard top surrounded by an "o" ring forming the lower portion of a sealing cap. The upper portion of the sealing cap has downward projections which both accommodate and grasp the surrounding material, but which also engage the lower portion of the sealing cap. The upper portion accommodates a downwardly directed and rotatable brush which is brought to bear on the stained area of material when the upper portion is engaged onto the lower portion of the sealing cap. The brush is rotatable to scrub the stained area of material, and has a central bore in fluid communication with the brush bristles. Once the area has been adequately scrubbed, water may be forced from a squeeze bottle onto which the lower portion of the sealing cap is mounted, through apertures in the scrub-board surface of the lower portion of the sealing cap, through the stained material, through the axial center of the brush assembly and out of the upper opening of the brush assembly.

Jaw For Riveter

View page
US Patent:
42480779, Feb 3, 1981
Filed:
Nov 26, 1979
Appl. No.:
6/097376
Inventors:
Jack T. Gregory - San Anselmo CA
International Classification:
B21J 1534
US Classification:
72391
Abstract:
In a hydraulic riveter wherein an extension on a piston carries a jaw holder containing an annular array of gripping segments with conical outer surfaces slidable on a conical inner surface of the holder, a second piston is slidable in a bore and is operative to force the segments along the wedging surface to grip a rivet. A fluid passageway brings the bore into communication with the cylinder, so that as pressure builds up in the cylinder to increase pulling force, the second piston is forced against the gripping segments with increasing force to build up clamping force on the rivet in direct relation to the pulling force of the tool.

Filed:
Sep 10, 1979
Appl. No.:
6/073677
Inventors:
Jack T. Gregory - San Anselmo CA
International Classification:
B21J 1534
US Classification:
7245317
Abstract:
A hydraulic tool comprising a cylinder which is open at one end with a piston extending partially therein, but having a substantial portion extending outside. A lateral bore through the extending portion accommodates intake and exhaust check valves, but the bore is sealed off between them, forming an inlet chamber. Surrounding the inlet and exhaust ports and sealed at its opposite ends to the piston and cylinder, respectively, is a flexible, extendable sleeve forming an annular reservoir. A transfer duct extends from the inlet chamber to a pressure chamber formed between two seals around the piston, and a longitudinal bore opens into the inlet chamber from the extending end of the piston to slidably accommodate a manually-operated pump plunger.

Aug 3, 1999
Appl. No.:
9/366506
Inventors:
Jack T. Gregory - Mill Valley CA
International Classification:
A46B 1100
US Classification:
2221445
Abstract:
A dispensing valve unit (12) is provided (which may be a part of a cleaning brush unit (10)) having a stationary inner tubular assembly (22), a telescopically interfitted shiftable outer tubular assembly (24) and an inner dual valve assembly including valve body (26) operatively coupled with the outer assembly (24) and engageable with a shoulder (48) forming a part of the inner tubular assembly (22). The inner assembly (22) has a soap entry port (54) through a wall thereof, whereas the outer assembly (24) is equipped with a portion (90) adjacent the port (54) and having an opening (92) therethrough which is selectively registrable with the port (54). A cam mechanism (40, 80) between the inner assembly (22) and outer assembly (24) effects axial shifting of the outer assembly (24) upon rotation thereof. The outer assembly (24) is selectively shiftable so that the unit (12) may assume three different positions: a soap and low volume water delivery position wherein the opening (92) is in registry with the port (54) so that soap is drawn from an annular reservoir (112) formed between the assemblies (22, 24), and valve body (26) is shifted to permit controlled water flow therethrough so that soap and water are mixed for dispensing; a high volume water-only rinse position where the valve body (26) is shifted from shoulder (48) and portion (90) covers the port (54); and an all-off position where the valve body (26) engages shoulder (48) and prevents water flow through the valve body (26), and the portion (90) covers the port (54).
