Abstract:
A gaming machine with a simulated stock market feature that provides for player selection of a simulated stock pick from among two or more options. In response to receiving an indication of a player stock pick, the game displays a first-period bonus result showing a first-period simulated stock performance of the player stock pick relative to non-selected stock picks. The game displays a mid-bonus game pick screen allowing the player to switch their stock after the initial period. The game displays a final-period bonus result showing a final-period simulated stock performance, and awards a bonus prize related to the stock performance. A preferred game simulates four time periods of stock performance, corresponding to four quarters. After all but the last period, the user may change their stock pick. One embodiment provides a graphic sequence simulating stock performance modification, or “Jacking-Up the Stock Price. ”.

Abstract:
A game is provided including a symbol shifting graphic display at one or more gaming machines. Games, methods, systems, and program products are taught using gaming symbols and hole symbols, into which gaming symbols may be shifted during the course of the game. Shifted symbols may reveal another hole symbol, or a bonus symbol or multiplier symbol. The player is allowed to select a symbol to shift in order to try and solve the matrix by producing a winning combination of gaming symbols.

A method includes displaying a number of symbol locations with one or more paylines defined through the symbol locations. In response to a player input, each of the number of symbol locations conducts a respective symbol change process to change from an initial symbol displayed at the respective symbol location to a respective numerical symbol included in a group of presentation symbols. An award is then presented based at least in part on a numerical characteristic of the numerical symbols aligned along at least one payline. Each symbol location may comprise an actual reel or simulated reel which is capable of displaying any one of a number of graphic symbols included in a group of presentation symbols. This group of presentation symbols includes a target symbol. In response to a first player input, each of the number of symbol locations is caused to conduct a respective symbol change process one or more times to change the graphic symbol included at each respective symbol location to a respective one of the graphic symbols included in the group of presentation symbols. The symbol locations all ultimately stop at the end of a game cycle to show a respective graphic symbol included in the group of presentation symbols, and an award may be presented to the player at the end of the game cycle depending upon the particular graphic symbols shown at the various symbol locations. According to the invention, at least some of the awards available in the game are based at least in part on the absence of the target symbol at one or more of the number of symbol locations.

A method includes displaying a gaming graphic at a player station. This gaming graphic includes a result conveying component and a background component with the background component located in a peripheral area surrounding at least a portion of the result conveying component. The method also includes periodically changing the background component from a first configuration to a different configuration during the course of play at the player station. However, the appearance of the result conveying component is maintained while the background component is periodically changed. Abstract:
A method includes receiving a first game play request at a bingo player station when the bingo player station is in a first game state and assigning a result for the first game play request according to a first pattern table. The first game state corresponds to a first result indicator state displayed by the bingo player station, and the first pattern table includes a number of first result levels with each first result level corresponding to a respective set of one or more bingo patterns and to one or more first result symbols. The method further includes placing the bingo player station in a second game state responsive to an aspect of the result assigned for the first game play request. The second game state corresponds to a second result indicator state that is graphically different from the first result indicator state. With the bingo player station in the second game state, the method further includes receiving a second game play request at the bingo player station and assigning a result for the second game play request according to a second pattern table. The second pattern table includes a number of second result levels with each such result level corresponding to a respective set of one or more bingo patterns and to one or more second result symbols. However, the second pattern table may be distinct from the first pattern table such as in terms of the content of the pattern table for example. Ultimately, the bingo player station is returned from the second game state to the first game state in response to some reset event.
