Abstract:
The present invention is an interlockable two-piece impression coping for anatomical dental abutment restorative systems. It includes a bolt member and a coping member having complementary intercoupling members respectively, which are disengaged when the coping member is fully fastened to the dental component by the bolt member. The present invention is also a method of attaching an impression coping to a dental component of an anatomical dental abutment restorative system for making an impression. The essential steps of the present invention method include first intercoupling the bolt member and the coping member, and then attaching the coping member to the dental component and fastening the coping member to the dental component by the bolt member, while having their complementary intercoupling members disengaged.

Abstract:
A system and method is provided for implanting tooth analogues in the jawbone resulting in aesthetically and functionally desirable gingival tissue contours after restoration. The system permits modification and adaptation of the tooth analogue to meet intraoral demands in a manner similar to that used in the preparation and restoration of natural teeth. The system comprises a standard fixture and cover screw passed through opened gingival tissue and implanted in the jawbone. After the osseointegration of the fixture, the gingiva is reopened, the cover screw removed and a healing cap having a predetermined contour, is attached to the fixture. The reopened gingiva re-heals in a shape determined by the contour of the healing cap. The healing cap is then removed and replaced by an abutment having an emergence profile matching that of the healing cap. An immediate snug fit between the gingival tissues and the abutment is thereby provided at the time of connection of the abutment to the fixture.

Abstract:
An anatomical restoration dental implant system which is attachable to an anatomical restoration dental implant fixture which is embedded into a patient's jawbone. The system includes a healing abutment, a large bolt member, a matching abutment head, and a small bolt member. The healing abutment has an intermediate shoulder for accommodating the gingival tissues which surround the patient's jawbone. The intermediate shoulder has a lingual-side portion which is at a higher level and flush with the top end of the healing abutment, a facial-side portion which is at a lower level and adjacent to the bottom end of the healing abutment, and two opposite interproximal-side portions which are gradually changing from the higher level at the lingual-side portion to the lower level at the facial-side portion.
