Wireway System Having A Pivotable Cover

View page
US Patent:
6437243, Aug 20, 2002
Filed:
Mar 3, 1999
Appl. No.:
09/261881
Inventors:
Charles F. VanderVelde - Frankfort IL
Donald C. Wiencek - Tinley Park IL
Assignee:
Panduit Corp. - Tinley Park IL
International Classification:
H02G 304
US Classification:
174 683, 174 72 R, 174101
Abstract:
The reenterable wireway system of the present invention includes a channel-shaped slotted duct, an integrally co-extruded U-shaped cover assembly and discrete latches. The duct has an elongate base and two substantially parallel duct walls extending generally perpendicularly from the base with each of the walls disposed adjacent respective longitudinal edges thereof. The duct walls include at least a pair of adjacent duct fingers which define a slot permitting selective routing of wires of the bundle. The cover assembly has an elongate planar center element with a plurality of hinges and a plurality of corner elements, which have a first component co-planar with the central element, and a second component depending normal to the first component disposed. The orientation of the first and second components may be changed when the cover is molded to be biased in a âremain-openâ position. A plurality of discrete latches are disposed at spaced locations on each respective second component having a locking mechanism which cooperates with the slot between adjacent duct fingers to secure the cover assembly to the duct.

Communication Connector With Capacitor Label

View page
US Patent:
6758698, Jul 6, 2004
Filed:
Oct 1, 1996
Appl. No.:
08/724365
Inventors:
Jack E. Caveney - Hinsdale IL
Christopher J. Hayes - Indian Head Park IL
Joseph Rinchiuso - Malrose Park IL
Andrew J. Stroede - Mokena IL
Donald C. Wiencek - Tinley Park IL
Assignee:
Panduit Corp. - Tinley Park IL
International Classification:
H01R 2400
US Classification:
439676
Abstract:
A communication connector having a plurality of contact pairs for conductive connection to respective communication signal wire pairs is provided with a capacitor label that capacitively couples a first contact of one contact pair to a second contact of a second contact pair to reduce near end cross talk between adjacent contacts. A common conductive lamina disposed closely adjacent to and spaced from more than one of the contacts further improves near end cross talk performance of the communication connector.

Cable Manager For Network Rack

View page
US Patent:
RE41353, May 25, 2010
Filed:
Nov 18, 2004
Appl. No.:
10/992640
Inventors:
Michael J. McGrath - New Lenox IL, US
Kevin L. Goodwin - Frankfort IL, US
Charles F. VanderVelde - Frankfort IL, US
Donald C. Wiencek - Tinley Park IL, US
Assignee:
Panduit Corp. - Tinley Park IL
International Classification:
G02B 6/46
H02G 11/00
US Classification:
385134, 379327
Abstract:
A cable manager provides horizontal cable management of adjacent patch panels or network equipment on network distribution racks. The cable manager includes a central section and a front cable routing section and is mountable on a network rack, such as an EIA rack. The central section has a longitudinal width sized to fit within the network rack, a front side, a rear side, and rack mounting holes provided on opposite longitudinal ends of the central section. The front cable routing section extends from the front side of the central section and includes a plurality of spaced fingers having an arcuate surface that provides bend radius control. A slit provides flexibility to the fingers. Ears extend laterally from the fingers. The cable manager can also include a rear cable routing section that includes a second plurality of spaced fingers. One or more passthrough openings can be provided in the central section to allow routing of cabling from the front section to the rear section.

Coin-Like Game Playing Aide

View page
US Patent:
20030141662, Jul 31, 2003
Filed:
Jan 31, 2002
Appl. No.:
10/059357
Inventors:
Pete Kost - Lockport IL, US
Robert Zajeski - Lockport IL, US
Donald Wiencek - Tinley Park IL, US
International Classification:
A63F003/00
US Classification:
273/288000
Abstract:
Our invention consists of a metal cast or machined coin-like generally flat playing piece with a provision to accept a pressure sensitive adhesive backed label. The label is printed with high quality artwork, which can represent characters, creatures and objects related to the game being played. The label, when adhered to the coin-like playing piece, provides a high quality, rugged and robust playing aid for use in role playing and other type games. The generally heavy weight of the metal and flatness of the playing piece provides a very stable playing aid that will not fall over like cast or molded miniatures or get blown away like paper plating pieces and is very easy to carry.

Communication Box Assembly

Abstract:
A communication box assembly includes a base, a plurality of connector mounting inserts, insert mounting means for securing the inserts to an inner surface of the base juxtaposed in an aligned row in a plurality of insert mounting positions, the insert mounting means positioning the inserts with outer insert edges adjacent an outer edge of the base whereby operative ends of connectors carried by the inserts are positioned for convenient connection with office service cables, and a cover releasably attached to the base which is shaped to enclose the base and inserts.

Vertical Printer Stand

View page
US Patent:
49829270, Jan 8, 1991
Filed:
Feb 15, 1989
Appl. No.:
7/310612
Inventors:
Robert B. Zajeski - Lemont IL
Donald C. Wiencek - Tinley Park IL
International Classification:
A47F 700
US Classification:

Abstract:
The present invention comprises a unique method for mounting and supporting a printer used with personal computers. The invention, a Vertical Printer Stand, is comprised of a printer stand base, printer support brackets that support the printer in a vertical position, adhesive backed mounts that attach to the printer side walls, and straps that attach to the adhesive mounts and around the printer, securing the printer to the stand. The entire assembly is then typically mounted to the wall using standard wall mount fasteners, with the printer mounted parallel to the wall. The primary purpose of this invention is to remove the printer from the desk and free up valuable desk and office space. The paper may either feed from the floor, desk top, or from an optional paper feed tray.
