Dawn Barlow Textbook Scholarship
CSUN
UNLV Senate Bylaw 98 CSUN Dawn Barlow Textbook Scholarship (Effective: August 13, 2012; September 17, 2012) I. At the time of formulating each fiscal budget, $18,000 from the total CSUN budget received from student fees shall be allocated under the name of CSUN Dawn Barlow Textbook Scholarship. II. The funds therein shall be awarded to students displaying academic abilities and potential, as determined by the CSUN Scholarship Committee (see Bylaw 69 CSUN Scholarship Committee). A. The Committee shall request, receive, and review all applications for scholarships; B. The Committee shall determine the scholarship winners; C. The number of scholarships awarded to each college (Business, Education, Engineering, Fine Arts, Hotel and Administration, Health Sciences, Liberal Arts, Sciences, and Urban Affairs) shall be divided evenly, along with the funds therein, so that not one college has one less, or one more, scholarship recipient than another; D. Scholarships shall be distributed as a voucher and shall only be used to purchase textbooks, and no other items, from the UNLV Bookstore; E. Funds shall not be used to purchase textbooks that exist in the Textbook Reserve Program of the intended semester; F. Scholarships will be distributed twice annually during the academic year; G. All scholarship recipients must complete a minimum of six (6) credits while receiving funding from the scholarship, and maintain a cumulative grade point average of 2.75; H. Any un-awarded funds may be distributed the following academic semester; 1.The total amount of funds, of which includes the residual monies from the previous fiscal year if there are any residual moneys, shall be divided evenly for both the Fall and Spring semesters of the fiscal year of which the scholarship is intended to be distributed. I. Any forfeited monies shall be returned to the UNLV CSUN Student Government for distribution the following academic year;
