US Patent:
20080034971, Feb 14, 2008
Filed:
Aug 11, 2006
Appl. No.:
11/502573
Inventors:
Daryl McIntosh - Coral Springs FL, US
International Classification:
B01D 46/00
US Classification:
95273, 96226, 55524, 55485, 55486
Abstract:
An improved air-conditioner filter, including a planar element for entrapping dust particles, and an additional planar porous element impregnated with a bacteriostat, the filter being arranged in an air-handler unit such that inducted air is first filtered for dust, and subsequently treated for remaining micro-sized organic material. A frame element peripherally encloses the element for entrapping dust particles and the additional porous element so that the components of the filter may be readily replaced as a unit.
