Abstract:
A dispenser top for loose materials has a flap attached to the dispenser top by a hinge along one edge of the flap. The hinged flap in a closed position overlies the dispenser top and closes one or more openings in the dispenser top and in an open position projects outward from the dispenser top. The one or more openings closed by the flap may be confined to a part of the top asymmetrically positioned on the dispenser top with a center of the part between the hinge and a center of the dispenser top.

A dispenser for granular material includes a measuring chamber disposed below a storage chamber. Granular material may be selectively permitted or resisted from entering the measuring chamber from the storage chamber. Once the measuring chamber has been filled, the material within the measuring chamber may be dispensed through an opening defined within the side of the dispenser by tilting the dispenser into a substantially horizontal position.

Abstract:
A spout for containers of pourable materials is provided having side panels that are flexibly secured to a central panel and positioned on a cap surface, adjacent a pour opening. The side panels are structured to extend outwardly from the central panel when the spout is in its closed position and to lie substantially parallel to the end cap. The side walls are flexibly secured to the central portion of the spout to permit the spout to move inwardly along the pour opening to define a projecting spout extending from the end cap.

Abstract:
A system for dispensing packages is provided. The system includes a dispensing container having a plurality of packages arranged vertically therein. The container has top and bottom panels and side panels extending upwardly between the top and bottom panels. The side panels have rear portions spaced apart from each other and converge forwardly towards a front apex. A dispensing opening is defined by an upper front portion of each of the side panels and a front portion of the top panel. Each of the packages has a height that is substantially larger than the package width and depth. The dispensing opening defines a mouth of the container sized to limit the number of packages that can be simultaneously withdrawn from the container.

A metering dispenser for flowable materials is provided having a reservoir defined in part by a pair of opposing, flexible side walls. The side walls are associated with at least one stop. Abstract:
A lid is provided for engagement with a projecting rim of an opening on a container. The lid includes a covering panel for closing the container opening and a skirt formed on a periphery of the cover and depending therefrom. The skirt overlaps with the container rim when the cover is positioned over the opening. The skirt includes a defined gap therein that is positioned between adjacent gap edges. A clasp is provided on the periphery of the cover adjacent the defined gap. The clasp pivots between an open position and an engaged position. In the engaged position, the clasp engages the gap edges and draws the edges toward one another. The drawing of the gap edges moves the skirt inwardly towards the container rim. The lid may further include a flexing portion defining a connection between the cover panel and the skirt. The engagement of the clasp on the skirt causes compliance of the flexing portion and a corresponding axial movement of the skirt relative to the cover panel.
