A native of Greenville, SC, Cathy spent her early years training in classical ballet and musical theatre performance. Her passion for dance progressed to ownership of dance studios in upstate South Carolina and work as choreographer for many upstate organizations and productions. These numerous civic volunteer involvements, including stewardship of many upstate high school musical productions, earned Cathy recognition in “Outstanding Young Women of America”. Small business budget constraints with her dance studios led Cathy to develop successful marketing and public relations strategies. A career change into corporate sales and marketing provided further development of strong organizational skills, event planning, public relations and marketing skills. After designing and building her family’s home, which was featured in the September 2004 “Log Homes Illustrated,” Cathy became a construction marketing consultant for the log home company that supplied the home’s materials. Recognizing the specialized property requirements of log home owners, Cathy then earned a real estate license. Her first year in real estate was as a builder’s onsite agent. This multi-faceted responsibility included managing model homes, marketing and public relations and project management. Next joining Coldwell Banker Caine as a Realtor Associate, she earned her GRI (Graduate Realtor Institute) designation while there. While at Caine, Cathy planned and executed numerous Open House and Realtor networking events. Prior to returning home to Coldwell Banker Caine, she was with The Cliffs Communities as Resale Listing Specialist. There she secured and managed resale listings in all three Cliffs Lake Keowee communities. Cathy previously held the position of New Home Specialist with The Cliffs. This position utilized Cathy’s diplomatic and public relation skills while serving as a residential construction liaison to high-end luxury home purchasers.
