About:
I work as a team with my wife Susan to provide you the highest level of professional service possible. We bring you over 15 years of real estate experience and over 30 years of sales and marketing expertise. Together we have helped our clients to buy and sell over 200 homes ranging from $150,000 condos to $4+ million estates. We have in-depth knowledge of the Menlo Park to Santa Clara area that comes with having lived and worked here for the past 30 years. 10 years ago, I developed an internet marketing strategy for the Realtor-Client partnership. I identified the online search engines that provided the most comprehensive and up-to-date information. I ensured our listings were featured on the most popular sites. I leveraged the internet to reach-out to prospective Buyers and Realtors. One outcome was the creation of one of the first personalized web sites for home listings. These "virtual tours" were unique in that they had large high-quality photos with personalized descriptions at time when others were offering small pictures. Open House visitors would point out features that they saw on the internet and comment about how much they enjoyed the web site. We still use this custom web site today as a complement to standard virtual tours. Business Experience and Education As Vice President of Worldwide Marketing for Tandem Computers, and subsequently Compaq Computers, I led a global organization responsible for a $1.7 Billion business unit. I was also an Account Executive for IBM here in Silicon Valley. I've positioned and launched four start-up companies into the enterprise IT marketplace: virtual servers, identity management, network storage and business intelligence. Each also involved raising a round of venture funding. I have a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Stanford University, a Master Certificate in Internet Marketing from the University of San Francisco and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Accounting from San Jose State University (I was a CPA with KPMG immediately out of college). Family and Activities I am a 33+ year resident of Silicon Valley and live with my wife, Susan, of 36-years. We have lived in San Jose, Menlo Park, and Sunnyvale and currently reside in Los Altos. Our two children attended Loyola Elementary School, Blach Middle School and Mountain View High School in Los Altos. Our son continued on to graduate from University of Colorado with majors in molecular biology, chemistry and biochemistry and recently entered a PhD program in Chemical Engineering. Our daughter graduated from UC Santa Barbara with a major in Communications and is working with an internet advertising company. Susan and I spend our extra time working on home improvement projects. We love to ski in the winter and are working on developing a respectable game of golf. We now enjoy a golf get-away when we can fit it in. Susan and I look forward to developing a strong partnership and friendship with you and your family. I joined ZipRealty about two years ago because they represent the leading-edge of real estate. They are designed from the ground up to leverage the power of the internet. The ZipRealty web site provides our clients with the most powerful and feature-rich public search engine available. Combined with our knowledge and experience, we make a powerful partnership that gives our clients a clear competitive edge.
