I was born in Africa, in the republic of Zaire, while my father was working there. My family move back to Brussels, in Belgium, my country of origin. My childhood was very similar to those of the other children there. My father was always traveling for his job and it was often difficult not to have him around. But as everything in life there are always a positive side and a negative side. Thanks to his job, we have had the opportunity to visits many exotic countries and for this, I am very grateful. It allowed me to see the world with more compassion and understand and realize that when it comes to what really matters, ... we are all the same. In my early 20's, I came to the US to perfect my English. What I first thought would be a six to eight months study trip, ended up being a lifelong learning journey. Dallas has been my residence since then and I must say, although I had encountered some great challenges, I have no regret. Here I made my own family with a caring husband and two wonderful children, both in college. They are my pride and joy! Leaving here for more than 25 years, I can honestly say Dallas is now my home and the United State, my country . Texas is a wonderful state filled with very friendly and very considerate people. I am proud to be a Texan! I am proud to be an American!
